Excite.com virus or Excite redirect is basically a deceptive browser app that can be attached to Firefox, Chrome or IE without your knowledge and permission. It viciously gets installed and alters your default browser settings. Usually, your homepage gets changed to www.Excite.com and all your web searches will start redirecting you to Excite.com webpages that will show commercial advertisements and similar paid content. How to uninstall Excite.com

Remove toolbars, plugins, extensions, add-ons
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users:
Go to TOOLS and then click MANAGE ADD-ON, From there, select Extensions, Toolbars and remove the Excite.com if found. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.

Google Chrome Users:
Click SETTINGS icon and select SETTINGS, then open Extensions, toolbar, search provider options, remove the Excite.com if listed there. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.

Uninstall from Control Panel
Open CONTROL PANEL, then ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or “Programs and Features”, now lookup for Excite.com and uninstall if it is listed.

Delete files:
